Healthcare Story
Restoring hope through accessible care.
Over 250 people drawn from several communities in Accra benefited from a free medical screening organized by a non-governmental organization, Networking for Hope, in partnership with Jambo Medical Centre.
The initiative, dubbed “Restoring Hope 2019,” was held on Saturday, 5 October, to offer free general health screening and consultation services at the Jambo Medical Centre in Alajo, Accra.
Out of the participants who benefited, close to 35 are expected to undergo free medical surgeries at the end of October based on the surgery scopes set by the medical team. These include gynecological surgeries, fibroids treatment and knee surgeries.
“Networking for Hope has been at this for years, making great strides in improving the lives of people and reaching communities in Ghana with donations, medical supplies, and quality healthcare packages through free screening and series of surgeries to participants.”

Community Impact
The screening was carried out by a multidisciplinary team of medical experts, including doctors, pharmacists, paramedics and nurses from Ghana. The event was designed not only to provide immediate care but to open pathways for continued treatment and support for residents who may otherwise lack access to affordable healthcare.
